Each Hugware® key comes with an electronic Certificate of Authenticity issued by UKISS Technology as proof that the device is genuine. The certificate will be secured by the Ethereum blockchain upon device initialisation.

To access the certificate on UKISS Hub,

  1. Launch UKISS Hub
  2. Go to Hugware® Manager View Certificate of Authenticity 

Read the user manual for more information or contact support if you have doubts about the authenticity of your device.

To download your certificate,

  1. Go to Hugware® Manager View Certificate of Authenticity 
  2. Scroll down and click the download icon to receive the certificate in JSON format.

Users can validate their certificates on the TradeTrust platform built upon GovTech Singapore’s OpenAttestation Framework. Simply download your certificate from UKISS Hub and drop it on the page.

Users can also validate certificates via the Jupyton viewer. Contact support if you have doubts about the authenticity of your device.

To set up a new set of Hugware® keys, download UKISS Hub from the website and have your A-Key and R-Key ready.

  1. Go to UKISS Hub  Get Started
  2. Follow instructions on the screen.

Check that the Hugware® is detectable on a separate computer or phone. If the Hugware was detectable, there might be an issue with your operating system or UKISS software (UKISS Hub or UKISS Wallet).

Here are some steps you can take:

  1. Plug in your Hugware® key to a different USB or USB-C port
  2. Restart your computer
  3. Reinstall the UKISS software
  4. Update your operating system

If the Hugware® was undetectable on a separate device, there might be an issue with the hardware. Please contact support.

  1. Exit the device setup process and try the following steps:
    1. Connect your R-Key to a different USB or USB-C port.
    2. Restart your computer.
    3. Reinstall UKISS Hub. 
    4. Update your operating system.
  2. Once UKISS Hub is able to detect your R-Key, you may resume setup using the Recover Key function. Unplug your R-Key and connect your initialised A-Key. Go to Hugware ManagerRecover Key.
  3. A pop-up window will prompt for a PIN. Enter 123456.
  4. Connect your R-Key and wait for UKISS Hub to detect. Wait for synchronisation to complete. 
  5. Set up PIN for R-Key. 
  6. You’ve successfully initialised your R-Key. Now, disconnect your R-Key. 
  7. With your A-Key still connected, go to Hugware Manager Change Hugware Name/PIN
  8. A pop-up window will prompt for a PIN. Enter 123456
  9. Enter new PIN for your A-Key. 
  10. Your A-Key is ready for use. 

Yes, your Hugware will function solely as a hardware wallet.

You will need to plug in the A-Key when sending assets, creating new accounts, and viewing locked accounts. Please read the Hugware user guide for full list of functions.

No, you don’t need an internet connection.

An error notification indicating that it is not a new device will appear on the UKISS Hub application during initialisation. If that happens, contact support.
